A non-invasive, mat-forming mint with trailing, square stems and heart-shaped, rough-textured, leathery, evergreen or semi-evergreen foliage. It produces hooded, two-lipped, lavender-blue flowers with a spotted throat.

Best grown in a rich, humus soil that is well-drained. Plant in partial to full shade or full sun as long as soils are kept uniformly moist.  A mat-forming mint that is not aggressive.
