Growing & Maintenance Tips for Melissa officinalis

Plant is full sun or partial shade, where protection from the hot afternoon sun is available. They will adapt to a wide range of sites including poor ones, however, avoid wet soils in the winter. Pruning on a regular basis will encourage new leaf growth, (which have the best fragrance), minimize self-seeding and keep the plant tidy.
