Additional Information about Helenium autumnale

Native to Ontario and most of North America.

Sneezeweed's dried leaves were once inhaled to cause sneezing, to supposedly rid the body of evil spirits.

Growing & Maintenance Tips for Helenium autumnale

Best grown in average to moist, or wet, soil conditions. Not tolerant of prolonged dry periods. May be beneficial to prune helenium back in late June, to almost half, to encourage more branching and added bloom count for the fall. Divide every 2-3 years to maintain vigour.
