Prunus serotina

Black Cherry (Wild Cherry, Wild Rum Cherry)

A very hardy, narrow, columnar-to-rounded tree with fragrant, white flowers. Small, red cherries ripen in late summer to a dark purple-black colour and can be used to make jams and jellies. The glossy, green foliage turns to shades of yellow and rose in the fall.
