Growing & Maintenance Tips for Juncus effusus

Grows best in marshes or along a pond's edge in full sun or light shade. Can be grown on floodplains, however, in the garden it likes consistently moist conditions, some stems will brown if the soil dries out. Spreads by rhizomes but is slow to establish. Foliage can be pruned down in early spring for a tidier appearance and so new growth can emerge through the old stems.
