Growing & Maintenance Tips for Helleborus niger

Naturally found on slopes at higher elevations. Best grown in dappled shade, full shade or in full sun provided they have extra moisture. Thrives in well-drained conditions and in limestone soil, with ample moisture during the spring. Slow to establish. Helleborus niger should not be disturbed once mature. Self-seeds when sited properly.
