Little Girl
Typically the reddish-purple blooms with paler interior tones appear shortly before the foliage heralding the arrival of spring.
Part of the "Little Girl" Series of hybrid magnolias developed in the 1950's.
Magnolia grow best in a moist, organically rich, well-drained loam, in full sun to partial shade. Avoid southern exposures where the buds may be induced to open too early in late winter.
