Growing & Maintenance Tips for Caragana arborescens 'Sutherland'

Caragana will grow in dry, rocky, poor soils in full sun and a range of soil pH. They can be used for hedging or as a food crop. Roots and stems are very stringy and fibrous. Though they tolerate salt, they need cold winters, so coastal areas with moderated temperatures are not suitable.
